The building block series contains over 36 blocks made of different mediums with the same colors and size. They were my final process project for my MFA and continue to grow. Each block tells its own story and as a whole they invite you to find which block represents you and your story. They are displayed in apparel fixtures to carry through my themes of apparel and identity.

Are you flashy with the sequins or natural with the seashells? Are you sweet as candy or speedy as Hot Wheels? What color are you? Red? Orange? Yellow? Green? Blue? Purple?

The building block series also embodies my aim to remind people we are made up of the same stuff. There are many ways we try to appear different from one another by action, thought, and expression. We are united in form and unique in function.
