Artist's
statement:
unique, as well as,
united: empowerment of apparel and identity
The
intent of these sculptures is to demonstrate the
idea of humans' ability to oscillate between existing
as one of a kind, as well as, one of a greater
assemblage. My belief is that we are all different
in our own way, and that makes us equal. We have
the ability to be filled with awe, instead of
fear, in the confidence that we are unique, as
well as, united.

To demonstrate a distinct identity of an individual
from that of the naked and relatively identical
crowd, humans used adornment to convey their uniqueness.
Through the many ages of man, clothes have transformed
continuously to express affinity, personality, and
provide protection. |
